At Ammon Creative, we understand that when a major media brand like Channel 9 Perth celebrates a milestone, the event photography needs to be as sharp, professional, and well-executed as the broadcast content they produce every day.
A huge thank you to Pete, Bayley, and the entire team at Channel 9 Perth for inviting us back to provide event photography for their 60th anniversary staff celebration at their Perth city headquarters — our second job with the team that week and an absolute joy to be part of such a significant milestone.

This celebration was about more than cake and speeches — it was a tribute to the people, stories, and legacy that have shaped Channel 9 Perth over the past 60 years. We approached the day with the intent to produce a clean, cohesive visual record that reflected the tone and professionalism of the Nine brand.

Guests received thoughtfully curated goodie bags that reinforced Channel 9’s brand identity, including custom-grown blue kangaroo paws from Kings Park, chosen to reflect Nine’s signature colour; tickets to the Terracotta Warriors exhibition at WA Museum Boola Bardip; a commemorative 60th anniversary keyring; and a copy of Have a Go News featuring a front page image we photographed of Terry Willesee and Michael Thomson in the newsroom. These inclusions weren’t just keepsakes — they were thoughtful extensions of the Nine story and gave us plenty of detail to showcase throughout the event photography.

One of the most memorable highlights of the celebration was a live donut art performance by Kaye Guthrie Adonis, a renowned WA-based multidisciplinary artist known for her bold, expressive work across visual and performance art. In a unique collaboration with Mary Street Bakery, Kaye transformed a tray of freshly made blueberry-glazed donuts — crafted to match Channel 9’s iconic blue — into edible works of art.
Using white chocolate and passionfruit ganache provided by Mary Street Bakery, Kaye created a graffiti-style design live at the event, turning the donut display into an interactive performance piece. The flavour combination and artistic presentation were developed exclusively for Channel 9 Perth’s 60th anniversary celebration.
A big shoutout to Paul Aron, co-founder of Mary Street Bakery, who was there in person to support the collaboration and help bring this creative vision to life. It was a fantastic moment where food, art, and brand came together in a way that truly elevated the experience.
