The 2025 Uniting Smiles Dental Charity Ball was a spectacular evening of purpose, professionalism, and generosity, and we were honoured to return as the official event photographers for the third year in a row. Hosted at Crown Perth, the event was a collaborative initiative led by Dr Amanda Phoon Nguyen and Dr Sean Archibald, both of whom have been long-standing leaders in the WA dental community.
Our involvement in this event has grown from our broader partnership with ADA WA, for whom we’ve provided photography and videography across a range of events and commercial content over the years. It's always a privilege to support causes where storytelling through imagery helps build stronger community impact.
This year’s ball marked a new partnership between Uniting Smiles and the WA Head & Neck Cancer Support Foundation. It was a fitting alignment, with dentists often among the first health professionals to identify early signs of head and neck cancer. The collaboration brought both awareness and urgency to the night’s proceedings, reflected in powerful speeches by Minister for Health Meredith Hammat, Emma Jarvis of Palmerston, and Stephen McPherson from WAHNCSF.
As guests arrived from 6:30pm, we documented everything from pre-dinner mingling and formal seating through to the prize draws, emotional video presentations, and an energetic dancefloor hosted by DJ Vireena. Every detail — from the sponsor tables to the speech moments and candid guest interactions — was captured with care.
Thank you to the generous sponsors who made the event possible: Cura Health Advisory, HPB Health Practice Brokers, Dental Essentials, Oral 7, FibreMax, Credabl, Straumann Group, Ultradent, and Sabine Albers. Their support was clearly felt throughout the night.
It was a joy to be part of such a well-organised and heartfelt evening once again. Events like this remind us how valuable high-quality photography is in preserving the spirit of a cause and sharing its impact long after the night ends.
