When the groom’s mother owns and operates a horse sanctuary on a twenty acre ranch, with breathtaking views of the Cascade Mountain Range, in Central Oregon picking a wedding venue was a no-brainer. Heart Space Horse Sanctuary provided the perfect backdrop for this bohemian-country wedding.
The estate boasts a vintage cabin, decked-out to create the ideal reception area, awesome red-barn, paved isle for the ceremony, and of course a menagerie of animals. For Martin and Olivia, having their two dogs and two horses present at their wedding was a must.
Olivia told me, “I knew that Melanie’s ranch would make the perfect wedding venue; it’s like it was built just for weddings!” And she was right!
The ceremony was short and sweet, but full of vibrancy and so much love. Guests sat on hay-bails covered in mismatched blankets as Marty and Livi exchanged their heartfelt vows. The speeches kicked off with a Welcome Toast from the groom’s mother, Melanie. Olivia’s sister and father brought everyone to tears with their hilarious and moving speeches. The best man’s speech gave a glimpse into the love that Martin and Olivia have for one another. Dinner was DIY tacos that were delish! And enjoyed on adorable picnic tables.
This bride and groom could not wait to get the party started! Everything about the wedding screamed party! The DJ provided an awesome ambience and kept the crowd dancing from sunset to the wee hours of the night. This true country shindig was the perfect introduction for us to begin capturing weddings in the United States and we loved sharing every minute of it!
